About Phenox Consultants
Phenox Consultants (formerly Buck Consultants) has been active in Suriname since March 1, 2010. After successfully establishing offices in Curaçao and (temporarily) Aruba, management decided to further expand operations. Suriname was a logical choice due to the shared language and strategic location.
Since 2011, we have been located at Lim A Postraat 18, a centrally located address just outside the center of Paramaribo. Our team quickly grew to include both junior and senior consultants. As a result, the name Buck Consultants quickly became well known in Suriname’s actuarial sector and among pension fund boards.
As of 2017, we continue our work under the name Phenox Consultants. A name change that emphasizes the close collaboration with our colleagues in Curaçao. Even under this new name, we continue to rely on the expertise of our colleagues in the Netherlands (Phenox Consultants).

Helma Blommers,
Senior Actuarial Consultant

Helma Blommers (born in 1983) has been working at Phenox Consultants since December 1, 2011. Prior to that, she spent over ten years at Nationale-Nederlanden N.V. in the Netherlands, where she gained experience in the Life Insurance department and later in the department responsible for annual reports of pension funds.
At Phenox, Helma is involved in a wide range of actuarial calculations and manages participant administration for several large Surinamese companies.
Urdize de Getrouwe
Junior Consultant Pension Communication

Urdize de Getrouwe (born in 1982) has been working at Phenox Consultants since April 1, 2012, as a Junior Consultant in Pension Communication. In this role, she is jointly responsible for executing participant administration and manages all activities related to the Suralco Pension Desk, where she also serves as the primary point of contact.
Urdize holds a Master of Science in Education and Research for Sustainable Development and a Bachelor of Science in Educational Sciences and Pedagogy, including a teaching qualification.
Melissa Harper,
Junior Assistant Consultant

Melissa Harper has been employed at Phenox Consultants since June 1, 2015, as Front Desk Manager and Junior Assistant Consultant. Melissa previously worked for one of the larger hotel chains in Suriname, where she gained extensive experience in administration and hospitality.
She successfully completed both MULO and VWO in Suriname and is currently studying at the Institute for Teacher Training (IOL).
At Phenox Consultants, she is currently involved in the participant administration of pension funds and supports all team members in their daily tasks. Thanks to her experience in the hospitality industry, she is the ideal person to serve as the welcoming face of the front desk.
